How long do the whitening effects last?

Dentist : Whitening is not permanent. Usually whitening last for about 6 months to one year depending on the quality of treatment undertaken, but people who expose their teeth to smoking and beverages that cause staining may see the whiteness start to fade in as little as 3 months.

Do teeth whiteners damage tooth enamel?

Dentist : Research Studies of whitening products using 10% carbamide peroxide showed little to no effect on the hardness or mineral content of a tooth's enamel surface. In JDC we don?t use more then 10% carbamide peroxide, hence for last 3 years no patients has yet complaint of any side effects.

Do teeth whiteners damage existing dental restorations?

Dentist : Over 5 years of clinical use of whitening products containing 10% carbamide peroxide have not shown any damage to existing fillings. The issue is not "damage" to existing restorations; rather, keep in mind that existing restorations such as tooth-colored fillings, crowns, bonding, veneers, and bridges do not lighten. This means that any preexisting dental work may need to be replaced to match the new tooth shade achieved in the natural teeth, should a bleaching process proceed.

Do teeth whiteners damage a tooth's nerve? Does it cause Hypersensitivity or Sensitive teeth to cold or hot food?

There are some chances of Hypersensitivity or Sensitive teeth for few days (2-5days).But sensitivity last only for some time due to excess bleaching, but it become alright soon and there is no chance of any permanent damage to any tooth surface.
